What Are uPVC Double Glazed Windows?

uPVC stands for Unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride a rigid, high-performance material that has been the window standard across Europe for over 50 years. Unlike standard aluminium or timber frames, uPVC is a natural thermal insulator. It does not readily conduct heat or cold.

Double glazing means two panes of glass separated by a sealed air or gas cavity. That cavity traps heat in winter and keeps it out in summer acting like a thermos for your home.

Together, a uPVC frame and double glazed unit create a window that is thermally efficient, acoustically superior, virtually maintenance-free and extremely secure.
